Portable power stations, explained and compared

Start with the appliance, the duration and how far you will carry it. Then compare stations that meet those requirements.

Choose a starting point for your home

Keeping a refrigerator running: start with measured daily energy and outage duration, then check compressor startup separately. The refrigerator calculator turns those measurements into a nominal-capacity screen.

Keeping a desk connected: list the laptop, router and any monitor, then add their energy needs over your working hours. A smaller station may be easier to store and move; an oversized inverter does not add battery runtime.

Preparing for a longer outage: compare the complete energy budget before choosing between 1 kWh and 2 kWh. Include the energy used by every device you intend to connect and a realistic recharging opportunity.

Our guides compare documented specifications and show the arithmetic behind planning examples. They do not establish tested runtime or certify an appliance combination. Begin with your requirement, then use the product profiles to check the exact model.

Planning examples and editorial guidance updated 24 September 2026. Product-source dates remain as stated; these examples are not hands-on tests.

Check individual ALLPOWERS models

Manufacturer-listed specifications; these models have not been hands-on tested by The Home Briefing. Match your appliance load and energy requirement before choosing.

Availability checked 28 September 2026: both US product pages showed purchase controls. Confirm current stock, delivered price and compatibility with ALLPOWERS. R600 is excluded because it showed out of stock.

What we include—and what we do not

This section covers portable battery power stations. A capacity figure is not a guaranteed appliance runtime, and a surge rating is not continuous output. We keep estimates separate from published specifications and flag conflicting source claims.

Home-circuit installations, generator selection and permanent home-battery design are outside these comparisons. Selected product profiles include clearly disclosed affiliate links. Other source links are direct manufacturer references. Read the editorial policy.

Compare the practical trade-offs

BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 vs Elite 100 V2: Choose between a smaller carry for short sessions and a larger battery for a longer device-energy budget.

Current BLUETTI options and shipping checks

AC200L is discontinued in the US. Elite 200 V2 is a similar-capacity alternative; its battery-expansion and solar-input limits differ.

Check dispatch before ordering: on 22 October the prior Elite 300 station-specific 23 October note was no longer shown; current 23 October notices applied to 200 W panel packages. Elite 400 was listed for late November at its 21 October check. Confirm current configuration-specific dates before purchase.
